BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING
MONDAY, JANUARY 5, 2009
OFFICE OF ANDREA VANDELOECHT, BROOKFIELD, MISSOURI
The Board of Directors of the Linn County Humane Society met Monday, January 5, 2009,
at the office of Andrea Vandeloecht in Brookfield, Missouri
Directors present: Andrea Vandeloecht, Peter Janis,
Frankie Chippas, Dave Ankeney and Jim Arnold.
Directors absent: Karmen Robertson, Ginny McMains, Jim Montgomery DVM
Also present was Eleanor Ravens, past board president and Dennis Hurlbutt, Shelter Manager.
President Andrea Vandeloecht presided over the business meeting.
MINUTES: Minutes of the December , 2008 meeting were distributed and approved as presented.
TREASURERS REPORT: All bills paid except vets.
SPAY/NEUTER REPORT: Spay/Neuter Report presented by Peter Janis. Spaying and Neutering suspended until further notice due to financial considerations
SHELTER REPORT: Status of shelter…Jon Renshaw has returned to work from Louisiana. Dennis Hurlbutt is retiring as Shelter Director, but will remain as consultant. Kim suggested as replacement. Transport update.
OLD BUSINESS: Valentines dinner in Marceline will be February 8, 2009. Will be held at Marceline Masonic Hall and will include a silent auction.
NEW BUSINES: No clothing at the Garage Sale in April in Marceline.
The next meeting will be held Monday, March 2, 2009
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.

The Board of Directors of the Linn County Humane Society met Monday, February 8, 2008
at the office of Andrea Vandeloecht in Brookfield, Missouri
Directors present: Peter Janis,
Frankie Chippas, Andrea Vandeloecht, Dave Ankeney and Jim Arnold.
Directors absent: Karmen Robertson, Ginny McMains,Jim Montgomery DVM

SHELTER REPORT: Status of shelter…Jon Renshaw has returned to work and is present a half day on Tuesday, full day Wednesday, and a half day on Thursday. Dogs: intake 55, 7 adopted, 25 to rescue, 10 claimed, 12 PTS. Cats: intake 1, found 1, adopted 5, 4 PTS. Volunteers must be listed on insurance for coverage. Kim voted shelter manager.
OLD BUSINESS: Valentines dinner in Marceline will be February 8, 2009. Will be held at Marceline Masonic Hall and will include a silent auction. Extensive discussion of boarding costs for impounded dogs. $10 for first day, $5 additional days. Brookfield collects this but does not pass on to Humane Society. Will contact our 5 city sponsors and suggest raising city fees for tags. Will contact Meadville, Laclede, Bucklin and Marceline with notice that we will be charging boarding fees when people come to pick up dogs. We will go to Brook field and try to get them to pass on the boarding fees they currently collect.
NEW BUSINES: No clothing at the Garage Sale in April in Marceline. Andrea Vandeloecht and Jim Montgomery, DVM go off the board April 1st. Still need replacement for Steve Roberts.
